Backed by a strong legacy of SVKM's 30+ Educational Institutions pan India, the MRP Military School aims to build a strong character based on six pillars – self-awareness, self-discipline, trustworthiness, self-respect, responsibility, and empathy - and develop academic competencies to thrive in today’s fast-changing world. This residential school (SSC Board) was inaugurated in 2003 to prepare boys and girls physically, mentally, and emotionally to join the Defense services and provide students with the resilience to face the challenges of life. Producing students with good grades is not enough, therefore, the MRP Military School focuses on preparing students with moral values, problem-solving skills and developing healthy living choices.
Practical application of knowledge is an attribute every cadet is equipped with. Experiential learning, questioning, classroom content delivery along with project-based practical learning are some of the practices implemented to enable students to use their imagination and thinking and come up with practical solutions.
At MRP Military School, every measure has been taken to ensure that the students feel cozy, safe and happy. From clean rooms with comfortable beds and study tables to hygienic food at the mess and laundry ensuring clean linen, all needs of students are taken care of. There is also a school infirmary with experienced doctor and nurse to take care of student’s wellness.
Classrooms with futuristic technology impact cooperative and student-centred learning. Following are some prime factors considered to enhance the educational experience: a) Increase academic engagement b) Reduce the possibility of inappropriate student behaviour c) Facilitate applicable interactions among students d) Improve student-teacher relationship e) Optimize learning outcomes. To boost the learning process, our school has a low student-teacher ratio which ensures students stay active, engaged and attentive during lessons. Having low ratio of students allows teachers to focus more on the individual requirements of each student.
The school has two computer laboratories featuring over two hundred computers. The computers in the school lab have been upgraded with appropriate software to enable students to compile and run programs as per the syllabus. It has advanced infrastructure in terms of hardware and software, which cater to the requirements of the students and teachers. The school is equipped with a high-speed broadband internet connection. The significance of computer labs is that it personalizes education. Students like to learn at their own pace. What’s more, computers are an access to instant knowledge. Computer labs are an aid to classroom delivery, enhance student engagement and serve as a vital infrastructure to make students future ready.
Sports inculcate the qualities like teamwork, leadership, accountability, patience, self-confidence, self-discipline and prepare them to face life challenges. Sports allow cadets to work on their physical and mental abilities to achieve goals in their life. Furthermore, sports coaches assist students in developing to their full potential. They are responsible for training students in a sport by analyzing their performances, instructing them in relevant skills, and providing encouragement.
A well-designed lab features lots of critical space for natural movement and flow. The Military School has designed modern laboratory facilities involving careful consideration of critical elements such as temperature and humidity control, air pressurization, sound and vibration, ventilation, safety and energy conservation. Here the laboratories have access to safety features such as an emergency shower space, biosafety cabinets, a fire detection and protection system.
The Music Room is equipped with a wide range of traditional and modern musical instruments providing children with a variety of learning experiences in music.
ATAl Lab is the dream child of our government. This lab helps the cadets to have a holistic approach towards creativity, curiosity and exploration of facts which would help the cadets to foster their innovative ideas. We give a platform to our MRPians to develop their problem-solving skills by engaging students to identify, analyse, and solve real-world problems through creative and innovative solutions.
Military School band consists of woodwind instruments, brass instruments and percussion instruments. This band is used to synchronize to movement of cadets during military training and other programs
Military School uses Obstacle courses to build teamwork and self-confidence, as well as to improve fitness and teach techniques for overcoming obstacles that they will use in combat.
Splashes of colours help children to develop motor skills, social skills, decision-making, inventiveness and innate talents.
